Michelle Freeze, DMD
Dr. Freeze is an award-winning, board-certified pediatric dental specialist who provides state-of-the-art dental treatment in a warm and nurturing environment. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University. After her undergraduate studies were complete, she decided to pursue her love of working with children, adolescents, and special needs patients by becoming a pediatric dentist, attending the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry where she received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Freeze then completed a two-year residency to become a specialist in pediatric dentistry, where she received extensive training in treating patients with special healthcare needs. She has been involved with the Austin chapter of Autism Speaks since. While Dr. Freeze is able to meet the needs of most of her special patients in-office, she is also credentialed at Dell Children’s Medical Center should dental care be needed under general anesthesia, and will occasionally coordinate care with physicians for co-cases under general anesthesia.
Since 2006, Dr. Freeze has been voted by her peers as one of the Top Ten Pediatric Dentists in Austin, by Austin Monthly Magazine. Since 2007, she has been on the Texas Super Dentists List, by Texas Monthly Magazine and for the last three years has been on America’s Best Dentists List. In 2016, she was interviewed on KVUE local news with a segment titled, “Fighting Cavities with Lasers.”
As a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, she has 15 years of experience wherein she has developed special techniques to provide a higher standard of care in providing cosmetic dentistry, laser dentistry, and the use of sedation dentistry when needed.
Dr. Freeze has a passion for participating in dental charity work and has participated in dental missions in Guatemala and Peru. She has donated her time in providing free dental care through the Lake Travis Love Labor of Love (LTLov) charity. Her greatest joy has been as a mother and her family joining her on her dental mission trips. She understands that every child requires an individualized approach and has unique needs and will provide care that is customized for each family.
